THE
CLIMATE
RESTORATION
NETWORK

The network develops and implements climate restoration projects.

The Climate Restoration Network is a limited company established in Israel in 2021. The network accelerates the implementation on the ground of solutions to deal with the climate crisis and climate restoration and deals with the initiation, planning and management of projects.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection reports that about 7 million tons of agricultural waste are produced in Israel every year:

  • Animal waste: about 5.67 million tons per year.

  • Plant waste, which includes prunings from plantations, organic waste from growth houses and fruit residues in plantations and packing houses: about 1.356 million tons per year.

  • Animal carcasses: about 45 thousand tons per year.

  • Plastic waste: f-40 thousand tons per year.

  • Pesticide packaging waste (defined as hazardous materials): about 500 tons per year.

At the current stage, the network is promoting several projects for the sustainable treatment of agricultural waste on local gasification and pyrolysis facilities, which will be fed with non-recyclable agricultural waste, and will be transported directly by the farmers to a nearby facility (a few km). The facility will be connected to the electricity grid and provide clean energy, produce biochar from the biomass, and in addition will use the residual heat for heating and cooling, so that 100% of the waste is used. In addition, there will be a sale of carbon and plastic certificates and documentation of incoming waste quantities and outgoing products, for the benefit of documentation and reporting according to international standards.

In addition, the network works to plan and establish waste disposal centers (SWW = agricultural waste center) at several sites in Israel.
