The Climate Restoration Network is a limited company established in Israel in 2021. The network accelerates the implementation on the ground of solutions to deal with the climate crisis and climate restoration and deals with the initiation, planning and management of projects.

Hospitals are very large producers of waste. In fact, the largest hospitals in the country are of the size of a small city and produce tens of tons of waste every day.

Radioactive waste is diverted to on-site treatment for hazardous substances, medical waste is sterilized and disposed of for landfill together with the "normal" waste - leftover food, packaging, etc. The hospitals in Israel do not separate at the source and do not handle the waste and almost 100% is transported to transit stations on the way to the landfill sites.

The network is planning the establishment of a waste recycling center in a medical center in Israel, which will include all the necessary infrastructure for the organization, reception and sorting of hospital waste, in a way that will ensure the reduction of its environmental impact to a minimum. The establishment of this center will make it possible to manage the waste in a more responsible and efficient manner, while reducing the burden on the waste landfills and improving the landscape and the environment close to us.

The center will convert the waste into sustainable consumer products if possible, and will produce energy, bio-synthetic wood and other products from the waste. The rest of the waste will be sent to landfill only if there is no other choice.

The hospital's waste streams, which the center will handle: organic waste, medical waste, plastic, paper and cardboard, trimmings, wood, metals, electronics, cooking oil and glass.
