The UN reports : the world is on the way to a warming of 2.4-2.6 degrees Celsius
Reducing emissions is not enough - carbon sequestration on a large scale is necessary to ensure the survival of the human race
Humanity is in the midst of a multidimensional ecological crisis of the life support systems on Earth. The climate crisis is a central component of a number of life support systems across the continent that are on the brink of collapse.
We experience the effects of the climate crisis every day. The International Panel of Scientists (IPPC) warns that humanity has about a decade left to reverse the trend in order to avoid devastating and irreversible results that would cause the Earth to go out of ecological balance, accelerate warming and lose control.
The goals of the climate restoration network are climate resilience and preparedness for the climate crisis by 2030 and climate and ecosystem restoration by 2050
The Climate Restoration Network was established in Israel in 2021 as part of the global climate restoration ecosystem, which includes the International Association for Climate Restoration (founded in the USA in 2017), the International Body for Monitoring and Safety of Climate Restoration (launched at the COP27 climate conference at the end of 2022) and the Climate Restoration Investment Company , which is being established these days and will be launched towards the end of 2023.
Centers for climate restoration
In order to implement climate restoration solutions at a fast pace and on a large scale, the Climate Restoration Network is establishing centers for climate restoration in Israel and around the world.
The Climate Restoration Center works in cooperation with communities, localities and local/regional authorities, and implements solutions for climate restoration at the local, regional and national level.
Local ventures and regional partners
The Climate Restoration Center initiates, coordinates and manages local projects and regional partners with an emphasis on creating economic benefits and increasing climate and community resilience:
Carbon fixation and emission reduction
Regenerative agriculture
Green energy independence: local production and storage of renewable energy
Food and water security: local production and storage of food and water
Local treatment of waste and sewage
Carbon trading
The Climate Restoration Center issues and sells carbon credits to generate additional income channels to finance the projects. Carbon pricing is considered the most effective action to encourage the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and innovation in the field of carbon fixation.
Resources from the network for local application (GLOCAL)
The Climate Restoration Center provides solutions, experts, resources, knowledge and funding from the global network to accelerate implementation and local impact.
Tourism, training and guidance
The Climate Restoration Center is a destination for climate tourism, and includes an information, training and training center for community members and stakeholders
