The first Israeli conference on carbon sequestration 2022

Israel has the potential to develop innovative solutions at the forefront of the fight against the climate crisis in general, and in the field of carbon fixation in particular.

Already today there are over 20 startup companies and organizations in Israel that offer solutions for carbon sequestration and the field is growing rapidly due to its importance and economic potential. For example, in the growing field of carbon trading, the fixation is considered to have a high economic value in the global trade mechanisms.

The target audience of the conference are entrepreneurs and startups in the field of carbon sequestration, investors and venture capital funds, commercial companies with goals to reset emissions, researchers and academics, government ministries and anyone who wants to be a partner in building the Israeli ecosystem for carbon sequestration.

The climate crisis is intensifying due to excess emissions of greenhouse gases. The scientists and the IPCC reports report that without atmospheric carbon fixation of billions of tons per year, the countries of the world will not be able to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement and the threshold of global warming will cross the 1.5°C goal in about five years.

Israel is in one of the most vulnerable regions in the world to climate change, including consistent warming, water and food shortages, rising sea levels, and increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.

At the climate conference in Glasgow, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett presented a vision to transform Israel from a start-up nation to a "green nation".

All carbon emissions of the conference will be calculated and reset courtesy of "KVS - sustainability and abundance" and TERRRA.
